Climate protection aims in sight
According to a study which different research institutes have provided for the federal economics ministry Germany will fulfil its climate targets. This forecast is justified by the presumption that in future more energy will be gained by more efficient technologies from the same amount of raw materials. Thus, it is possible that the primary energy consumption can be reduced by 20 percent of the present figure till 2030, although till then the demand for power will rise because of increasing single households.
