Extreme weather events increasingly affect the well-being of the world’s population. In the last two decades, in Europe alone 112,000 people died of the aftermaths of natural disasters. That’s why the title of the international conference at the beginning of the climate protection summit in Cancún, Mexico, was “climate change, extreme weather occurrences and health”.
