Lights out for climate protection
WWF activists and passers-by pedaled like mad in front of the Brandenburger Tor to generate electricity for the Berlin Bear and the WWF Panda. In Munich, supporters switched off lights at the City Hall and the Allianz Arena; in Cologne, activists made a stand against climate change by turning off lights at Cologne Cathedral and the Hohenzollern bridge. Altogether, 35 German cities took part in Earth Hour 2010.
